Esplanade

Esplanade is a mixed-use riverfront development on the Ohio River from Piatt Companies. Before opening, it needed a public site that explains the master plan, the apartments, retail and recreation, and gives prospective tenants and residents a way to ask questions.

1. Started with a discovery questionnaire the team could fill in at their own pace, with answers saved as they typed.
2. Built pages for the plan, apartments, residences, leasing, recreation, sustainability, community, gallery, FAQ and news.
3. Opened the homepage with the client's hero video and gave phones a lighter version of it.
4. Added inquiry forms that record whether the visitor is interested in leasing, apartments, condos or the marina.
5. Added pause buttons, a skip link and visible focus outlines, so all 14 pages pass automated accessibility checks.
6. Wrote a handoff guide so the client's IT team could host the finished site on their own servers.
