Ziggy Golf

The brief was a golf game that anyone can pick up on a tablet or phone, with a swing that is quick to learn and courses worth exploring.

1. Made the swing simple: pull down and swipe up, or hold a button and release on the line, with a forgiving accuracy meter.
2. Built five courses: a park, a desert, ocean cliffs, a school campus and a swim and tennis club.
3. Used public map and elevation data to shape the school and swim club courses after the real grounds.
4. Gave every green its own outline and slope, and made putts show the whole roll and where the ball will stop.
5. Added wind, a caddie, and a pug who fetches the ball out of sand or rough, for one or two players.
6. Added an online scoreboard: save your round under a first name and see the top ten, with a word filter.
